On Wednesday 14th September, we’ll be embarking on the first ever Optimum Medical and Vyne Local Litter Pick.

Following a very successful Beach Clean in 2021, we wanted to focus our attention closer to home.

It’s estimated that over 2 million pieces of litter are dropped in the UK each year, and the local area around our Head Office is no exception. Close to our office is a primary school and outside our window is a children’s play area. It pains us to see the play area littered with rubbish when little ones are wanting to enjoy the space.

So, on Wednesday 14th September, the Optimum Medical and Vyne team will be taking a few hours out of our busy day, grabbing our litter pickers and hi vis vests once again, and doing what we can do have a small, positive impact on our local community.

As part of our Litter Pick and in keeping with our passion for having a positive impact on the environment, we’ll be consciously sorting and dividing up the litter picked into recycling and non-recyclable items and disposing of the items accordingly.

We’re calling this the first Optimum Medical and Vyne Local Litter Pick, as our plan is to make this a regular activity to help give back to our local community and have a positive impact on where we work.
